Haworth Art Gallery

Haworth Art Gallery
Refurbishment and alterations to an Edwardian Tudor-style house in its own park, which had been bequeathed to the people in Accrington and has been a public art gallery ever since.

This multi-phased refurbishment included the refurbishment of the oak-panelled entrance hall, installation of a new ‘Arts and Crafts’ staircase, the restoration of the wood and plaster decorations adorning the main reception rooms, new heating and complete rewiring throughout.

Due to the environment, the works were carried in phases to avoid minimal disruption due to the grounds remaining open to the public.
