The Grand Hotel, Lytham-St-Annes
Refurbishment and repairs of the roof, external walls and façade of this iconic Grade II Listed Victorian Hotel. The 3- storey Grand Hotel situated on the South Promenade in St Annes-on-Sea was built in 1897. The jacobean-style hotel has been built in red brick, sandstone, terracotta tiles and pargetting. The building consists of two receding wings in a U-shaped plan, and the symmetrical main front has nine bays. Works were undertaken to the 3-storey porch with a parapet and finials, with 3-storey canted bay windows with gables.
Local materials were used to upgrade the exterior of the hotel in keeping with the original façade features of the listed building.
