Manchester Christmas Markets

Warden was engaged to facilitate and manage the installation of the infrastructure for the Manchester Christmas Markets 2023, on eight diverse sites across Manchester City Centre.

Installations included the feature wooden stalls, bottled gas supplies, electrical diesel generators, including fuel supplies, and the installation of standpipes for water supply. Two crane lifts were also required for the two-storey structures, including the feature Christmas Windmill, where health and safety concerns were paramount. Segregation of the works throughout was also a major factor in the success of this project with Heras fencing utilised and adapted for purpose on the various sites.

Being in the heart of the city centre, the works undertaken in a complex urban environment with high levels of both pedestrian and vehicle traffic. The project was completed to the client’s timeframe and budget with minimal disruption for people and businesses.
