Warden was appointed to carry out the internal remodelling and refurbishment of the hospital’s existing Bowman’s Restaurant, also creating new staff changing facilities and a new outside seating area.
This phased, sectional project took place within three areas of Arrowe Park Hospital and was completed in 28 weeks. We worked closely with our client to maintain continuity of existing mechanical and electrical services to the adjacent live medical treatment rooms. Works included the removal of existing partitions to create a new open plan layout, upgrades to the mechanical and electrical services and installation of new booth style seating, flooring, suspended ceilings, and high-quality finishes throughout.
Warden delivered 12% of the total value of the scheme adding tangible social value to the local community around the project. This included the cost of an entertainer for a day visit to the children’s ward and encouraging our site and sub-contractor employees to support the League of Friend’s charity shop by purchasing their lunch from there.
85% of our supply chain was sourced from within the Wirral and Merseyside area, and we provided sixteen weeks of onsite apprentice training and mentoring across a combination of different trades.
