This project saw Warden complete a major refurbishment of the English Football League’s four-storey headquarters building.
The transformation included the internal strip-out of all existing ceilings, floor tiles, glazed screens and partition walls to create an open plan office environment over two floors, as well as large meeting rooms, separate directors’ offices, kitchens, bathrooms, a gym and a prayer room.
All mechanical and electrical services were removed and replaced to together with new ceiling grids and tiles. There was a complete refurbishment of the WC and shower facilities, new flooring and decoration throughout.
In addition to this, a new security and alarm system was installed, and upgrades completed to the air conditioning unit on the roof. Other installations included low-power LED lights throughout to reduce power usage, wall mounted TV / video screens, high speed Wi-Fi provision and video-conferencing facilities.
This high-specification refurbishment was successfully delivered within the client’s tight programme, and within budget, with minimal disruption to the building’s users and neighbouring properties.
We subsequently secured repeat business with the client to undertake external works including resurfacing the existing car park and creating EV parking bays, and amendments to the front entrance to provide upgraded disabled access.
