Built under a JCT design and build contract, the eight-storey building offers self-contained studio apartments together with inspiring social spaces and communal areas, such as a games room, cinema, café, gymnasium, and soundproof study pods.

The scheme also contains a managed laundry service, management offices, an indoor cycle storage area and roof garden. Hard and soft landscaping was used to create external garden spaces and street enhancements including street furniture.

To successfully meet the client’s preferred 80-week construction programme, off-site steel frame construction methods were employed alongside special flooring systems to reduce installation times.

Offsite interior solutions were also employed on this project, and a show flat was made available to the client early in the construction process, allowing them to showcase and sell their apartments ahead of project completion.

Warden provided an experienced, in-house, project management team, with senior level project involvement and high-level client liaison, all of which assisted us in successfully meeting the client’s programme in order to open this exemplar student living scheme ahead of the new academic year.
